At Eolisa Space, engineering is not merely a department—it is one of the core pillars upon which our vision for the future of science and space exploration rests.
Over the past months, our internal operations have undergone a comprehensive review process aimed at identifying structural weaknesses, evaluating ongoing projects, and preparing our organization for long-term growth and international cooperation.
As part of this process, and in coordination with the company’s leadership and oversight teams, the current Engineering Division has been formally dissolved as of March 27, 2025. This decision was based on a range of documented issues, including:
• Project outcomes that did not meet the scientific and technical standards required by Eolisa Space;
• Operational mismanagement and inefficient use of institutional resources during a period of limited oversight and infrastructure;
• A lack of synchronization between departmental execution and institutional goals.
All former members of the Engineering Division have been temporarily reassigned to the Science Division. Their performance and contributions will be reviewed during this reassignment period, after which future roles will be determined.
This restructuring is not a reflection of personal failure, but rather a strategic realignment. Many of these challenges emerged during a time when Eolisa Space was operating under constrained conditions, without proper physical infrastructure such as a hangar or dedicated laboratory space.
What This Means for Current Projects
This decision does not affect the Telescope Workshop or any other telescope-related scientific projects. These projects continue to operate under the Science Division and remain active and prioritized. They are considered essential components of our current development phase.
Furthermore, engineering components previously developed—such as early-stage rocket nozzles and structural prototypes—were created during a time of extreme limitation. These outputs are being reclassified as part of the company’s transitional phase and will be archived for historical and analytical purposes.
A New Phase Begins
While the current division has been decommissioned, our commitment to engineering remains stronger than ever. Once our internal structural reports are finalized, and our ongoing investment discussions are concluded, Eolisa Space will launch a new phase in engineering development.
The new Engineering Team will be built on a solid foundation of feasibility studies, verified technical standards, and clearly defined institutional objectives. The goal is not just to restore what was—but to create something far more robust and visionary.
We extend our gratitude to all team members who contributed during our early stages. The lessons learned during this period are now being used to construct a more efficient, accountable, and future-focused organization.
More information on the future of the engineering function, hiring announcements, and project restarts will be published in the weeks ahead.
